What is Healing?

October 2011

My mission is to help others and myself towards cosmic healing. I do this every day, as best as I can, through my practice of natural medicine and educational work, such as retreats, newsletters, workshops and book. Through my services, my clients and patients are empowered, and they in turn empower me to be more skillful in my practice, enabling me to develop my healing potential. Healing is a relationship. We learn from one another.

We heard so much about healing. What is healing, really?

Healing is about transformation. It is not spiritual spa or ‘feeling good’ therapy as what the wellness industry wishes to tell you. Sitting in meditation, contemplation or prayer is just the beginning.

At the end of the day, we are said to be healed when we gain the grace of unconditional love for ourselves, others and Creation/Nature. Love is not a feeling.  Love is the grace to will the good in others, whether we like (a feeling) the person or not – help the unfortunate, console the lonely, help the sick and the oppressed in our own big and little ways.

A patient can be cured of cancer but not healed. He or she may remain judgmental, hostile, insecure and having little compassion for the less fortunate. Or a person can appear to be religious yet not healed.  It is only externalism.

When you are healed, you enjoy life (not just survive); you truly live. You embrace everyone regardless of race, religion, culture and gender differences. This is wellness.
