救生良药—高良姜

高良姜(别名:南姜)是普遍的草药,用来增强心肌和血液循环,促进消化,疏解食欲不振和张凤。

在中医和印度医学里,高良姜对治消化功能失调的疾病非常有效。而只有十二世纪德国修女和草药师Hildegard of Bingen提倡用高良姜来治疗心肌疼痛。她写道:“凡是患心肌疼痛或心血管贫弱(昏厥)者皆立刻服用充足的高良姜便可舒缓。”

高良姜是治心绞痛、心脏供血不足及眩晕的必备草药和保障。在德语系国家,如德国、奥地利和瑞士,医生发现高良姜是预防心脏病发作、中风和突发性耳聋最好的良药。它也有效预防循环系统衰竭、旅行病和极度疲劳。您可留意到我桌上的那瓶高良姜片?这是我精神疲劳的“即时”补救品。最近尼泊尔一游,在当地的寒冷气候下,我们体验了高良姜的功力:防感冒伤风、哮喘发作和食物中毒。

《Hildegard of Bingen’s Medicine》的作者Dr. Strehlow 建议我让更多人认识这宝贵的良药,因为它实在能从中风及心脏病爆发的边缘救回许多人。患病人之多(甚至是年纪轻轻的人)驱使我们不得不跟身边的亲人分享高良姜的好处和妙用。希望我们对这个救生的良药有更深层的感激。

高良姜也有保护肝脏的作用。一项实验发现高良姜提取物能在实验鼠身上防乙酰氨基酚(paracetamol)引起的肝毒性作用(Hemabarathy, Budin and Feizal, 2009)。所以,在面临众多药物和化学物(如农药)的毒性侵害下,为了保护心和肝脏,我鼓励大家多把高良姜加入饮食中。

经我观察,适合服用高良姜最明显的征兆是精神疲劳。它甚至对预防阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer’s disease) 有莫大潜能。在患有类似茨海默病中健忘症的实验鼠身上进行调查发现,高良姜有助于增强认知能力(Singh et al., 2011)。换句话说,高良姜能提高记忆力和脑力。
