Shorts: Dengue set to worsen

“Dengue set to worsen…” that is headline in The Straits Times (27 March, 2013). It looks like all the spraying is not helping!! Could it be due to low immunity? Our immunity can be low if we don’t have enough rest, diet high in refined oil and inorganic meat, exposure to pesticides, lack of moderate exercise and sunlight and chronic intake of medications especially antibiotics and oral contraceptives.
Bertram has anti-parasite, anti-candida, anti-bacteria and antiviral properties. It is used effectively against malaria in Africa and has shown to be useful in the fight against infection in HIV patients. Duckweed elixir is another tonic that is very effective for those with low immunity. These two St Hildegard remedies are potent immune builders, together with yearly bloodletting.
Read on these herbs and other aspects of holistic wellness in my new book – From Leaf to life – unlock the secrets to true health. The book will be available from 30 March, 2013 and an official launch will be held on 19 May, 2013 at the Marine Parade Library.
