Many people died while the herbs that could have saved them grow on their graves

Sebastian Kneipp (1821-1897), a Christian monk and considered the father of modern day medical spa therapy, rejuvenated the popularity of natural medicine (modern day naturopathy) in 19th century Germany. One of my favorite quotes attributed to him is:

Many people died while the herbs that could have saved them grow on their graves.

Many of my patients voiced their frustration and shared how difficult it is to persuade their friends and love ones to try natural medicine to treat their conditions instead of long term pharmaceutical medications.

One case involves a young lady who suffered from chronic headache and had been on constant analgesic medication. She was recommended to seek consultation with me and to resolve the root cause of her condition. She refused because she thought consultation is expensive. However she could afford to buy a $2000 gucci bag.

Is this indulgence loving yourself or ?? In my opinion, she is not truly loving herself. Without loving yourself, no healing can takes place. This is why I put “I Love Myself” as the 1st Credo of Wellness in my new book From Leaf to Life.

This is also the theme of Leaf to Life day – a half day practical workshop to help you create a herbal and holistic lifestyle for yourself and your family. We will have a beautiful guest speaker who will touch on inner life and loving yourself therapy. It will be held on October 5 (10am to 2pm). Do look out for details.
It is also one of the ways we gather to support a project to help needy children in Nepal.

I hope I can see you and your family there. Do love yourself in the right way.
