New studies show that religion helps workers cope with stress and gives them a sense of meaning in life.

There are numerous studies that show religion practiced as a form of spirituality i.e. inner transformation is beneficial for health in body and mind. Many psychological health issues are due to inability to forgive or failure to let go.

Spirituality is about surrender or letting go; Letting God, egoless, selfless etc. This is mentioned in detail in my book From Leaf to Life – The 7th letter of wellness. Without this component, religion is only about religious duties.

Letting go and letting the Higher Power or God to work in us is practicing what Lao Tze said – Living like water. This is the secret to happiness and health.

    Hi Sebastian
    Agree with you in that having a relationship with God and letting him to work in us helps in healing. When we sleep, God is working and ‘re-creating’ our bodies, so that we can continue to function well.
